Who Is The Artist?

Shirod Younker (Coquille, Coos, Umpqua) is an artist, instructor and entrepreneur who lives in Portland and Warm Springs, Oregon. He works to help promote both traditional and contemporary Native American art practices to Indigenous Communities in Oregon and SW Washington.

He and his wife also manage The Changing Currents (CC) Tribal Water Leadership program to help educate and build a network of tribal leaders and tribal youth. The CC program strives to create a better understanding of the hydrologic natural and man-made infrastructure systems so that all our communities can enjoy clean water in the near future.

How Can I Purchase This Blanket?

Local products are not available to purchase online. This can only be purchased in our brick and mortar store. If you are outside of Portland you can email us to procure one.

Who Made This?

Eighth Generation is a Native-owned business that stands out for its authentic representation and celebration of Indigenous artistry.
